  • Customer Service Line Survey
GVMWC needs your help to complete a full inventory of all water service lines connected to the water system. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is requiring all water utilities to determine where lead pipes exist in their systems, including pipes on the customer side that connect to the public system. GVMWC has an inventory of our underground infrastructure, which helps us manage maintenance and prioritization of repair and replacement of pipes. We have confirmed that the service lines owned by our company are made of copper, not lead. However, identifying the material of customer-owned service lines is a greater challenge and requires more extensive effort. We need the cooperation of our shareholders to help us complete the inventory, showing all private side connections and pipe materials. Please complete our online survey to inform us of the material used for the water service line coming into your property - this is the pipe connected to your water meter. If you are not sure of the material, use our instructions to test the material first. Click here to take our survey or visit www.gvmwc.org/lcsurvey If you would prefer a hard copy of the survey, please contact our office and we will gladly send one to you.

  • Hydrant Flushing Program Will Begin 7/8
GVMWC aims to consistently deliver safe and affordable drinking water to all shareholders. To ensure the highest water quality for you and your family, our field staff will conduct a flushing program starting July 8 and will last approximately two weeks. This initiative is designed to maintain our infrastructure by eliminating sedimentation and clearing buildup within our pipes. Using fire hydrants across our distribution system, our staff will flush mains at high velocity. During this period, you may experience temporary discoloration in your water service. There is no cause for concern if this occurs. Simply open a faucet and flush with COLD water until it runs clear again. If you are experiencing discolored water, do not use your hot water. For any inquiries about the flushing program, please contact our office during normal business hours at (909) 867-2912.
  • 7/4 Office Closure
The office will be closed Thursday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. Have a happy and safe 4th of July!

  • Hydrant Flushing Program Continues
GVMWC will be conducting our seasonal flushing program throughout the community in the coming weeks. The goal of this program is to remove any possible sedimentation and build-up from our piping. Field staff will be using fire hydrants located throughout the distribution system to flush water from the mains at a high velocity. It is possible that during this time you will experience discolored water. Do not be alarmed. The easiest solution is to allow your COLD water to run until clear. Do not turn on your hot water when experiencing discolored water. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our flushing program, please feel free to contact the office during normal business hours (9:00 am-3:00 pm, Monday through Friday).
